Uganda
Uganda, once described as the “Pearl of Africa” by Winston Churchill, is a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts and is increasingly known for its vibrant culture. The country is famous for its population of mountain gorillas, a major draw for safari travellers. These remarkable animals, along with flamingos and rare tree-climbing lions, can be seen in parks such as Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, near the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Travel Advice
Before travelling to Uganda, it’s important to ensure you have the appropriate vaccinations. A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for entry. Travellers are also advised to be protected against Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and routine vaccines such as Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Polio.
Depending on your itinerary, additional protection against Rabies, Meningitis, Hepatitis B, and Cholera may also be recommended. It’s best to seek advice and arrange vaccinations 6–8 weeks before your trip.
